2 dollar Jobs: How to Successfully Slave Away on Upwork in Kenya.

The internet is all the rage, online writing work all the accomplishment for a Kenyan.

Upwork a dream come true.

I started on Freelancer with no information about how online works.

I love it when I have to research on anything. So, I continued but got useless jobs which were wasting my time.

I ”quit”. Went to Elance where all the ”good” clients were to be found. It was an exciting time. On bidding, I couldn’t keep up with the waiting.

So, I turned my cheeks away,  to something else.

The question about how to make money online other than a writer became a lingering pain plus nightmare.

I began asking myself why and how to find exciting jobs where I can offer expertise of customer service. I am passionate for good service, I want to be treated KING.

Ranting.

On brainstorming ( I think at night), haha – when the world is quiet.

I came up with the idea of working for people at home as a customer service.

I had a lot of niches in my mind. I usually have extreme interests. I had to find the best ( FREELANCE TOURS AND TRAVEL).

You can plan your safari with me!

I contacted a few tours and travels who either ignored me or simply said, ” We have enough workers already”.

I never gave up.

No, I needed experience and that’s how I found a book called, Bootstrap VA (go read it whether you want to be a VA or not) and got excited.

I keep a copy of the ebook for guidance or vision. It has the best reviews on Amazon by the time of checking.

Now you know a bit of the story.

I brought this story up to help show you how far I have come from.

Did I mention my significant other had a tough time convincing me to quit?

And how I became a pain in his … hahaha. He can attest to that.

Starting online needs a little of guiding ( a LOT of guidance). I love encouraging.

No one guided me except my tragic way of looking at life:

ALL WILL WORK OUT FINE NO MATTER HOW MUCH DIRECTIONLESS, VISIONLESS I AM.

It does, when something is too hard for me, I know: This is where my success is, because I will fall, dust, fall, dust until I get it. Like reaching for the apple at 5 foot 2. You know.

I want this guide to help you visualise your online direction.

Show you to show passion and dedication and how you will create wealth by informing others, inspiring them to stick to their journey.

You will get:

  1.  How to survive the slaving away on Upwork
  2. Doing 2 dollar jobs and how they affect your esteem as a Kenyan. (You dreamt of life as a Bourgeois now you are a salivator).

3.  Why you must do the 2 dollar job when you haven’t created a name for yourself online or Upwork.

4.  Why I went back to Upwork for the 2 dollar jobs I abhorred in my earlier years of freelancing.

5.   Why you mustn’t waste time on the 2 dollar jobs. (Hypocrite!!!). Find out why I am.

Looking forward to the guide?

Recycling for Money: Turning Waste into Gold in Kenya.

I have promised since 2015 to write an in depth blog post on recycling and making money. Guess what? The post is packed with ideas of what to explore and how to begin. Around you there is gigantic waste that needs to be collected.

Think along the lines of:

  1. plastic bags
  2. plastic bottles
  3. soda cans
  4. glass bottles
  5. beer bottles
  6. car tyres
  7. bottle tops
  8. toilet paper rolls
  9. sacks
  10. clothes.

And the list goes on and on and on.

The question you must be asking is: How do I upcycle these things to make gold? Make it appealing to the eyes?

How can I make people appreciate the beauty of used things?

How do I make money from these recycled things?

Well, I have packed for you a tutorial blog post. I am sorry for not curating it sooner so you don’t have to wait.

Otherwise, please add a list here for things you would love to see recycled.

I love ideas. How much are you willing to recycle?

Do you believe the recent plastic bags ban will help deal with a Clean Environment?

Should more be done?

If you want it to be waterproof, no way round to it than buying the diaper shell or pocket cloth diaper.

3. Looks like the cute cloth diapers I sew.

4. Will offer an affordable way of donating to a charity.

5. You can gift a mamma in distress looking for nappies.

And because it has a stay dry layer, I promise your baby won’t feel irky when wet.

You don’t have to wait too long for the photos, you can simply place your orders asap.

I am waiting, photos coming.

You can also buy for a mama who is unable to provide for herself and her kids.

I know I will be donating a lot of these to mamas in hospitals or have special needs children, working on a tight budget.

Teaching in Kenya: How a Teacher can Create a Side Hustle Online

As a trained teacher teaching does come naturally, hehe, to me. Making money as a tutor in Kenya a new ”thing” I have come to love.

Well, most of you know I don’t really care for teaching, I actually never had a passion for it.

Sitting in the University Lecture Hall was an excruciating pain in my back.

I always remembered all the mischief I did to my teachers and would be haunted like crazy,

”I  AM NEVER GOING TO BE A TEACHER”.

Well, I am very wrong because, most of my life surrounds teaching and imparting knowledge.

How can I become a teacher when I don’t love the vocation?

I love it when something makes me money… I am not obsessed with money but love my freedom.

Lack of money can make, turn you into a married slave or the clinging girlfriend or boyfriend.

Who wants that? I once lived a life like this and ended up sleeping hungry with my kids.

Money Slavery I tell you.

Anyway, I know you are wondering why I am bantering a lot.

A teacher has to talk, A LOT.

You can supplement your teacher income by becoming a teacher online.

Yes teacher, where you visibly said to your students, ”All online workers are either money launderers or scams”. Yes, that one.

You can teach anything you like:

But, I have gathered these courses are usually the juice of online tutors:

  • Maths
  • Chemistry
  • Biology
  • Physics.

High school seniors need, want a lot of help in these major sciences.

The arts are a hot cake too but, stiff competition is there.

Teacher, you can also teach languages!

Good languages to teach include:

  1. Simplified Chinese( Is there anything like this one?)
  2. Mandarin.
  3. Arabic
  4. Swedish
  5. German
  6. French.
  7.  NKT( I am forgetting the basic one here, ENGLISH.
  8. I could use an English teacher to thoroughly walk me through the use of commas, apostrophe, colon and semicolon.

I remember covering my eyes with a note taking book when she asked, Gertrude, please tell the error in the sentence above.

The whole class burst in teary laughter because – I didn’t know when, how and what to use dashes, commas, semicolon and colon despite leading in the subject.

Pure guess work.

See why we always need after-classes?

Anyway, where do you expect me to teach madam?

To the point please!.

You are going to apply for teaching, whenever a job opening is available. On sites like:

Study.com,

Cafetalk,

Skillshare,

Udemy,

Lynda.

You tube

Personal Blog

Offering one-on-one courses.

Skype teacher.

Translator.

You are becoming what I always call, A TEACHER WITHOUT A CLASSROOM! ( Don’t steal this one, I created it)!

I will update *this* links to be more precise, for now … you can be a pioneer language teacher in any field.

Did you also know you are not limited to a Degree?

You can teach skills too?.

That’s what you must be looking out for as my next blog post.

Want to get more juice on the sites I discovered for those interested in teaching?

And they are worldwide, so you don’t have to search?.

Isn’t that the aim of my blog? To make your work search easier and headache free?

What you are to do.

Do correct me *whether* possible – we will become friends. haha. So, talk to me.

Also, you will get a guide for this, only for subscribers.

So, you are wasting time reading here, you must be signing up, ALREADY.

Let’s run, it’s juicy.

Exciting Freelancing Sites You Must Try For Kenyans

The reasons for me to start this blog were myriad: share my knowledge in thousands of subjects ( relationship and dating, women and their health, men and dating, health, recycling, politics, Kenya and sooo much more).

I got sidelined when I couldn’t house all the information in one tiny space.

I had to ”niche out”.

I also wanted to be a voice where you get to know that online works and there are jobs online.

Lately, I don’t write detailed blog posts because all those are coming together in an ebook!

Just like the pdf downloadable I made for those interested in daycare or being in business as a daycare lady, man.

I want you to find jobs as freelancers …if you are tired of Upwork or your Upwork profile has been declined … bring I revamp it for you, for a little sum, of course.

I don’t want you to give up on working and finding work online. I want you to enjoy the freedom this lifestyle brings, the ability to flexibility, travel, see your kids, relax sometimes and save money on commute hours.

I will provide the new sites where you must be looking and it’s exciting and some of these, you can never imagine they are available to Kenyans.

Can’t wait to get the sites?

Subscribe to know when the ebook is done and also my email subscribers already have these information, you have to dive in and subscribe.

Farming as an Online Job? Tips for Making Money as an Online Farmer in Kenya

After scratching my hair for a new idea you have probably never heard of, I concluded farming.

This sounds extremely funny to work online as a farmer – I thought the same too.

Let’s not laugh at me first, let’s reason, okay?

I would love to find out how to grow sweet-tasting strawberries in Kenya but cannot find nothing about it in Kenya. I think of going to the government offices to get advice but… I smile a little.

I think of buying a book – I laugh more, I want practical actions, right now, do now… no theories and confusing jargon.

I come to Google for simplified answers and quick solutions to my problems.

That’s where you the strawberry farmer comes in.

You will explain to me what strawberry is and its categories.

You will go through the pain of telling me how deep I must dig my garden. You will also tell me the tell-tale signs of strawberries dying or healthy juicy ones I want.

Sometimes, you may warn me of brands to avoid.

Another laughable line?…haha.

My online farmer is someone with experience or is an Agricultural or Animal expert, with a few years under his belt for cultivation of strawberries, for example.

He is confident of what he is doing because he has a proven record of dos and don’ts, even for those potting fanatics like me.

Now, you are getting the idea… would you love to make money offering pieces of advice to farmers and willing farmers how to farm? Isn’t this farming in a way? Follow me online as I delve deeper into this exciting topic.

I cannot wait to hear what you have to say about this seemingly strange move today, can I?
