FORGIVE ME FATHER .Â
His dancing googly eyes swerved with salivation from one end to the next, but, he couldn’t dare for her to see him. Anyway, she couldn’t. He couldn’t believe that the lost sheep had been found. Actually he found the lost sheep, brought it back to the greener pastures and His Father would be happy for his accomplishments on earth. He had heard everything she said, so he humbly said, ” Sr. Ana, repeat after me, she obliged. And he liked obliging sheep because, he too obliges to the will. ”Forgive me Father for I have sinned, it’s been a week since my last confession…”. He almost shouted, a week! A week only! I need to confess everyday, all the time, a week you sinner?, he thought. He almost mumbled or maybe he did because she looked up. His attention recovered, he wished her soft hands were there, for him to convince her that her sins were actually forgiven. Then he heard the same words repeat very very loudly, ”Forgive me father for I have sinned, it’s been a day since my last confession and my sins are … ”Â
His train of thoughts became interrupted by a rapture of his holy gown, that little boy who loves to call him every now and then. The exciting part of the game was about to begin and today, he needs just one soul to convert to a good grazer. One at a time is enough and one at a time he conquers.
