Would you mind submitting stories for the blog about a Kenyan Story? If not, what are you waiting for?
I would really love to hear what your tales are about Kenya and her People. If you believe you have a story to share, please don’t hesitate to write. I will be running a competition here.
The first prize will get a reward of 1000, 750 and 500. This is your chance to be heard. The style doesn’t matter as I believe everyone who’s ready to submit is a creative genius.
The rights to the story remain with you meaning, you can publish your story to as many outlets as possible. As long as, for the first three months, the story is published entirely here.
The story can be political, humour, opinion. Keep it as cool as possible. By cool I mean: 1. Using language that’s globally understandable; English. 2. Language that is non-vulgar. Â 3. Easy to decipher language, conversational. I don’t want to use the Oxford Dictionary to determine what you meant. 4. Competition runs for Kenyans, Non-Kenyans. Believe you have a Kenyan story, then, this is the time to be heard.
Don’t mind about the competition money. With time, it’ll accrue. If you think the money is too little, please, don’t insult or may look elsewhere.
This is an ongoing competition, so, if you happen to find it here in January 2016, you get your prize money (Rates will change as blog readership increases). Â Length, doesn’t matter as long as it’s sassy, readable and fashionable. You know what I mean.
People of all ages are welcome to participate.
*Let it be a Kenyan Story. This is a monthly thing, don’t mind if you miss this month’s.
*Don’t forget, I’m also looking for volunteer writers about what happens in the place you are in. Or, just anything that really bites you. This one, I’m still negotiating how much to pay each contributor.
Keep talking to me as I value your talk.
